I start my day with lemon water Habit, you can do cold water or warm water I tend to like the warm water option a little bit more Because the warm water helps me feel like I’m cleansing my body even more Citrus is great for digestion. So squeezing some lemon in to your water is gonna make you feel invigorated It’s going to help speed up your metabolism or just help with your metabolism in general. I Love lemon.
Lemon is something that I put on almost Everything that I eat I probably put too much lemon on things sometimes but I just think that it is such a great way to help Cleanse and to help with digestion and the smell of citrus can really help reduce stress I love citrus in an essential oil so just having a citrus first thing in the morning when I wake up just helps me wake up and Makes me feel like I am doing a deep cleanse with my body before I start putting everything else in there
To go outside as soon as possible
After you’ve had your fuel for the morning so you’ve had your smoothie and your coffee and you’ve had your breakfast go outside as soon as possible because You are going to be most likely indoors for most of the unless you have a job where you’re outside But for the most part we tend to spend most of our time in doors So going outside right away to just feel the fresh air on our skin to walk to work if we can or to walk to our workout if we can or even just taking the long Route to our car to go to our workout.
Whatever it might be Just try to spend some time outside even better If you go run outside take a lap around the neighborhood to just get your heart going to get your mind Moving and grooving for the day and to just be outside and feel the sunshine in the morning It is such a great way to start off the day helps clear your mind. It makes you feel Energized before you take on all of this computer work or homework or whatever you need to do
My third habit is no technology for the first hour of your day It is so easy for us to roll over in bed. Grab our phones and you start scrolling through Instagram. I totally get it I’m guilty of it But a practice I have been doing recently is keeping my phone across the room so that I know that I need to get up Make my bed, which is like a side note that will be six tip, But make your bed in the morning.
Besides that I get up make my bed, and I know I have to go all the way across the room to Grab my phone if I want to I know that instead no, I make a mental note and say okay I’m gonna go into the kitchen to make coffee because what’s better a cup of coffee or scrolling through Instagram ,a cup of coffee Obviously.
So I go into the kitchen make my cup of coffee.Just enjoy the morning because I am waking up at like 6:30 or 7:00 a.m Most of the time so I have more than enough time to be disconnected From the world and to have me time in the morning before I jump in to this entire world of responding to people Looking through emails going on Instagram because most of the time our world is in our cell phones we are always reminded of that might potentially stress us out when we look at our phones because all of our phones are connected to work somehow via email or Facebook You’re looking at family stuff or friends doing this or that or whatever it might be.
So if we just have a moment of clarity at the beginning of the day where we don’t have to think about anything or be reminded by anything through social media it’s very ideal to wake up and have a very clear mind in the morning and Being disconnected from social media is the very best way you can do that.
Yes. I’m talking about meditation again very briefly I just want to recommend it in the morning especially outside Maybe after you have that walk or that run in the morning You could just sit down on the grass have a moment of a 10-minute meditation. About how I meditate and how I get into the zone for meditation and I think it is such a crucial and Wonderful habit to pick up in the morning because it is another thing that helps clear your mind in the morning and things that help you start off the day on the right foot and on the right track and with a mind that is open for new experiences and it is stress free as much as it can be that is what I Try to do as much as I can in the morning because that’s what helps improve the start of my day.
The reason I am bringing up meditation again is because it has such amazing Benefits on our health some of the benefits include makes you happier helps you concentrate throughout the day Helps your immune system makes it so you can slow down aging a bit, especially for your mind All of these benefits are so incredible and it’s completely free to just sit down and meditate
Don’t think about unnecessary things
Tip number five is to limit my choices and this is something that I am currently in the process of working on I recently read a quote from Obama. That just made me go Oh my gosh, this is so true and I’m going to quote it .
So I thought that that was so Remarkable because it’s true when you wake up in the morning I don’t want to have to think about all of These different things that I could wear all these different things that I can eat I like having a routine I like thinking about and knowing the things that I’m going to do in the morning so that I don’t have to over analyse any decision, it’s true.
We make so many decisions throughout the day I don’t want to think about oh should I wear this or this or this or this and pick out ten different things I want To know I feel confident in this. This is what I’m going to wear these days I’m looking at minimalism as something that I’d love to aspire to do I have a full closet of clothes and I want to narrow that down Very very very much. So it’s definitely really interesting to me and I just think that’s a mind blowing quote.
